Interactive iOS Intune Enrollment Flowchart POC

A proof of concept for turning the iOS Intune enrollment decision flowchart into an interactive blog experience.

iOS and iPadOS enrollment

Use the flowchart as the article

During my time at an MSP, I had to run iOS and iPadOS enrollment projects many times. Every time I landed in a new rollout, I found myself reopening the same Microsoft documentation to decide which Intune enrollment route best matched the customer's functional and technical requirements.

Microsoft Learn is complete, but the enrollment guidance spans a lot of pages, links, prerequisites, and route-specific caveats. At some point it becomes easy to lose the thread, especially when you only need to choose the right solution direction for the scenario in front of you.

I wanted one practical reference that I could come back to later: research it properly once, then turn the decision process into a clear flowchart. Because the source material is already large, I did not want this to become another long article that still takes too much reading before you can choose a direction. The visual is the blog post.

Click a decision card, endpoint, note, stop, process, overview, or start card to open only the guidance that is relevant to that point in the flow. The goal is to help you focus on the configuration, prerequisite, or limitation that actually matters for the route you are evaluating.

This is still a work in progress. This first version will be reviewed every quarter and updated when Microsoft guidance, Intune behavior, or practical implementation patterns change. If you spot something incorrect or something that should be sharpened, please leave a comment at the bottom of the article.
